Over the past year, we\u2019ve been studying, praying and seeking what God\nwould have for us in regards to membership and the final weekend in February\nour new covenant members escaped to northern MN and made it official. We\nblissfully enjoyed games, each other&#8217;s company and nature. We continue to have\ncovenant member only gatherings on the first Wednesday of each month and\nstarted a new series thru a book called <em>Life in Community<\/em> by Dustin\nWillis with great discussion on how significant community has been in our own\nlives but also on our desire to go deeper with each other; being careful not to\nrest on our laurels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Campus Ministry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UW Superior has persisted with weekly Bible studies and recently had the\nopportunity to host Erin Bottomlee from Kentucky as a guest speaker. UMD Street\nLevel has benefited from becoming an official on-campus organization this\nsemester. This official status has opened up opportunities for greater\npromotion and an on-campus meeting space. UMD weekly studies have extended on\nfrom last semester going through parables and we\u2019ve seen some new faces this\nsemester for our weekly gatherings. UMD is gearing up for next month when guest\nspeaker Annemieke from Amsterdam will come to discuss her ministry in the red-light\ndistrict. This event will be promoted widely across campus to students as well\nas other Christian organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.jfbduluth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200309_193110618-1-scaled-e1583858791254.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6532\"\/><figcaption>Street Level playing games on the UWS campus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remodeling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">JFB Duluth\u2019s coffeehouse, RavenFed, recently underwent some remodeling\nwork. The kitchen countertop space has been largely expanded as well as new\nseating arrangements for the coffeehouse itself. We were even able to\nincorporate some crown molding from prior sections of the building into the new\ncountertop which fit in well with the ambience. RavenFed continues to be a\nstaple for our weekly fellowship time and this remodeling project serves to\nenhance that mission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.jfbduluth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/kitchen-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.jfbduluth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/kitchen-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"6530\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.jfbelievers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/kitchen-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.jfbelievers.com\/kitchen\/\" class=\"wp-image-6530\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.jfbduluth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/kitchen-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.jfbduluth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/kitchen-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"6531\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.jfbelievers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/kitchen-2.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.jfbelievers.com\/kitchen-2\/\" class=\"wp-image-6531\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Missions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br> In our efforts to reach both locally, domestically and internationally we are sending 4 people from Duluth in a joint venture with Menomonie to Louisiana in mid-March. Moreover, an additional group of 5 Duluthians are training to prepare for Philippines trips this summer. This past month we started a new series called <em>Saturate<\/em> by Jeff Vanderstelt which we will cover each month on the third Wednesday evening. This series will consist of video and small group discussions on how to become disciples in our everyday lives here in the Twin Ports helping us to better fulfill the mission in our backyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-Matt<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Covenant Membership JFBelievers Duluth celebrated the first official covenant membership retreat.
