Meet our young adult group

Who is the Young Adult Ministry at Believers Church? If you’re thinking youth group or lock ins…think again! We’re a group of people anywhere between 18 and 35 years old who love Jesus and like spending time together. For the last few years, we’ve had a mission to spend more of our time growing into a deeper relationship with God and each other. Whether we’re studying the Bible, serving the community, or getting outside to enjoy one of the many activities Duluth has to offer, we’re doing it together!

Many people will spend their 20s and 30s trying to develop their identity and find their place in life. They do so while chasing education, career, family, and the pursuit of their dreams. We want to find our place in life too, only we want to find out what God’s purpose is for us. We don’t want to waste some of the best years of our life pursuing things that will only leave us dissatisfied in the end. God has a plan for every life, our desire is to know what that is and actually do it, so that we can look back on these years with thankfulness rather than regret.

We typically organize a group event each month, which varies greatly with the season we’re in. For the last few months, we’ve put on our own pancake breakfast (with all the toppings), partnered with a local organization to help clean up Keene Creek, served coffee at the Park Point Rummage Sale to raise money for missions, had a volleyball tournament, and recently, spent a weekend camping together.  Our hope for these group events is not only to strengthen our relationships with one another but to also connect with other young adults in the community who are looking for more out of life.

Our friendships are not just founded solely on having fun, we want to study God’s Word and be able to honestly talk through it with each other. Every first and third Monday we meet at Ursa Minor and Bulldog Pizza at 7 pm for a Bible discussion. During the school year we also meet at UWS on a weekly basis for a Bible discussion geared towards college students. These casual Bible studies are intended for people who have questions about the Bible, God, and their place in all of it. These studies are intended to be conversational, so people can ask questions and find out more about what the Bible says….and perhaps, what it doesn’t say.

Are you looking for more out of life? If you’re honest with yourself, I think the answer would be yes. Come join us for an event or a Bible discussion; don’t waste your life thinking you’ll get around to finding out more about God or His purpose for your life… do it now while you’re still young!

“Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, I have no pleasure in them.” Ecclesiastes 12:1
